1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the website horizons-islamiques.com, the mobile applications (iOS and Android), or any other platform operated by Horizons Islamiques inc. (hereinafter "the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

Horizons Islamiques inc. is a corporation duly incorporated in Canada in November 2025, with its registered office in the Province of Quebec.

2. Description of Services

The Platform offers the following services:

Islamic educational content: Articles, videos, audio recitations, supplications, and Islamic publications in French, validated against authentic sources.
Learning+: A premium subscription programme comprising structured learning paths (Quran reading, memorization, Tajwid), educational modules, interactive quizzes, and exclusive pedagogical content.
The Quran: Access to the Quranic text with French translation and reading features.
The Hadiths: Consultation of authentic prophetic hadith collections with French translation.
Supplications: Collection of authentic supplications (du'a) for various occasions.
Online Boutique: Sale of physical and digital products related to Islamic education.
Tools: Utility features (dhikr counter, prayer times, Qibla compass, etc.).

3. Access Conditions and User Account

Access to certain features of the Platform may require the creation of a user account. By creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Not share your account with third parties.
Immediately notify Horizons Islamiques inc. of any unauthorized use of your account.

You are solely responsible for all activities conducted under your account. Horizons Islamiques inc. reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in case of violation of these terms.

4. Learning+ Subscription

4.1 Nature of the Subscription

The Learning+ subscription is a premium service granting access to exclusive educational content. Each subscription is strictly personal, non-transferable, and non-shareable. It is granted to a single identified user for their exclusive individual use.

4.2 Prohibition of Sharing

The following acts are strictly prohibited:

Sharing, disclosing, or making available one's login credentials to any third party, whether free of charge or for consideration.
Allowing any other person to access Learning+ content through the subscriber's account.
Using a single account for the benefit of multiple users.
Recording, capturing, screenshotting, or screen-recording Learning+ content for the purpose of sharing or redistributing it.
Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any technical protection or access control measures.

4.3 Technical Measures

Horizons Islamiques inc. reserves the right to implement technical measures to detect and prevent unauthorized sharing, including device limits, concurrent session restrictions, and usage pattern analysis.

4.4 Sanctions

Any violation of these subscription terms may result in the immediate and permanent termination of the account without refund, as well as legal proceedings including a claim for statutory damages pursuant to the Copyright Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-42.

4.5 Institutional Access

For institutional or group educational access, please contact Horizons Islamiques inc. to inquire about group licensing options.

4.6 Billing, renewal and cancellation

Learning+ offers monthly and annual billing. The price, currency, billing frequency and any promotional conditions are shown before payment. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled before renewal.

You can cancel at any time from your profile. Cancellation prevents the next charge and access continues until the end of the paid period. Monthly and annual subscription charges are non-refundable and there is no voluntary subscription money-back guarantee, subject to mandatory rights under applicable law.

4.7 Lifetime course purchases

A lifetime course is purchased separately with a one-time payment. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically. The purchase includes a 14-day refund guarantee from the purchase date, on request through Profile → Subscription → My course access → Request a refund, or at contact@horizons-islamiques.com.

Submitting the request sends it to our team for processing; it does not automatically issue a refund or remove access. Once a refund is processed, the access granted by that purchase ends. Your saved learning progress is retained, and any separate subscription or other valid access is unaffected. This commercial guarantee does not limit mandatory statutory rights.

5. Intellectual Property

The platform design and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Other texts, translations, recordings and resources remain subject to the rights of their respective owners and applicable licences. Consultation does not grant a general right to reproduce or redistribute protected materials.

6. Islamic Content — Disclaimer

The Islamic content published on the Platform is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute a fatwa, a formal Islamic legal opinion, or a substitute for consultation with a qualified scholar.

Horizons Islamiques inc. is committed to presenting authentic content verified against recognized Islamic sources. Scholarly divergences are identified when they exist.

7. Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence may assist editorial work. The interactive assistant generates answers automatically, which may contain errors and are not individually reviewed before being displayed. Its answers are not fatwas and do not replace a qualified teacher or scholar. Verify cited religious sources before relying on an answer. Questions are processed by an AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Online Boutique

8.1 Products

The online boutique offers physical and digital products. Images, descriptions, and specifications are provided for informational purposes. Slight variations may occur between the product displayed and the product received.

8.2 Digital Products

The purchase of a digital product grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence for strictly personal and non-commercial use. Reproduction, redistribution, or making available to third parties is prohibited.

8.3 Terms of Sale

Purchases are subject to the terms and conditions of sale published on the website at the time of the transaction. Horizons Islamiques inc. reserves the right to modify its prices and catalogue at any time.

9. User Conduct

By using the Platform, you agree not to:

Use the Platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
Publish defamatory, obscene, offensive, or content contrary to Islamic ethics.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform's systems or data.
Perform automated data extraction (scraping) or database harvesting.
Disrupt the normal operation of the Platform.
Impersonate another user or Horizons Islamiques inc.
Use the Platform to distribute viruses, malware, or any harmful code.

10. User-Generated Content

If the Platform offers interactive features (comments, shares, contributions), you retain ownership of the copyright in your contributions. By submitting content, you grant Horizons Islamiques inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use such content for the purposes of broadcasting and operating the Platform.

You warrant that your contributions do not infringe any third-party rights and do not contain any unlawful content or content contrary to these terms.

Horizons Islamiques inc. reserves the right to remove any user content deemed contrary to these terms, without prior notice.

11. External Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. Horizons Islamiques inc. exercises no control over these sites and disclaims all responsibility for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

12. Platform Availability and Modifications

Horizons Islamiques inc. endeavours to maintain the Platform accessible at all times but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons of force majeure.

Horizons Islamiques inc. reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice.

13. Limitation of Liability

All content and services of the Platform are provided "as is" and "as available," without any express or implied warranty.

Horizons Islamiques inc. shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including errors, omissions, interruptions, or loss of data.

The total liability of Horizons Islamiques inc. to any user, for any claim related to the use of the Platform, shall not exceed the total amount paid by the user during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or legal guarantees.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Horizons Islamiques inc., its officers, employees, and representatives, against any claim, loss, damage, liability, and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform or your violation of these terms.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Quebec. Any dispute relating to the interpretation or application of these terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Province of Quebec, Canada.

Mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rules applicable to your place of residence remain unaffected.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Amendments

Horizons Islamiques inc. reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. The version in force is the one published on the official website horizons-islamiques.com. The date of the last update is always indicated at the top of the document.

Continued use of the Platform following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated provisions.

19. Referral programme

While the programme is open, a verified new account created through a personal invitation makes the referrer and their friend each eligible for 1 calendar month(s) of Learning+, subject to the programme limits. Signups are eligible through December 31, 2026, inclusive, in Toronto time. The programme is currently open.

The friend must be a new user, open the invitation before creating their account on the same browser, and verify their account through the signup flow. The invitation is retained for up to 30 days before account creation. Only one referrer may be assigned per account. No lesson, quiz, subscription or purchase is required to validate the referral.

A referrer may earn up to 3 months per calendar year, based on the year of the friend’s signup in Toronto time. A reward exceeding this cap is not granted to the referrer; the friend's eligibility is unaffected.

Once the account is verified, the referral is recorded in the profile. Both participants receive a confirmation email, and the administration is notified of eligible access to grant. Access is granted manually by the Horizons Islamiques team, not automatically upon signup or email receipt. The free-access period starts on the date selected by the administration. Existing paid subscriptions and billing are not automatically changed or cancelled. Rewards cannot be transferred or redeemed for money.

Self-referrals, duplicate accounts and fraudulent use are prohibited. A referral may be declined with a reason. Programme closure stops new invitations; already confirmed referrals and awarded access remain recorded. Attribution uses browser storage and account identifiers solely for administering the programme.
